ML Artifact chances

I would say all ML Artifact chances for swoop silk miasma rend grim lurge dont even come close to representing the difficulty of these beasts.
My sugestion is to base the artifact chances for these off the difficulty to an average player.
Considering a lot of the creatures with ML artifact chance can insta-kill the average player the chances for an artifact drop off these isnt really represented at the moment.

I have surveyed the ML critters using maxed out characters and I got smashed rather often.

The artifact chance will be changed during the ML review to more accurately reflect OSI's chances. Right now, the stats for these ML monsters are likely higher than they should be, as they were created and released when UOML was still new. They also instantly respawn which decreases the time necessary to obtain an artifact.

Keep in mind that these mobs are meant for groups, so yeah it is hard to solo. At some point when we're ahead of things with updates and have more players, things will go smoother as far as pvm goes.

That said, artifact chances, as well as loot are things that we want to look at improving to be more OSI accurate.

Miasma for sure. Silk is on a swamp proximity spawner. Malefic and lissith respawn fairly quickly. Thrasher is also an instant respawn. Most of the ML mobs are either instant respawn - 10 seconds or they respawn in less than 20 seconds.

All ML mobs can be soloed with a proper set up. There are a few challenging ones such as rend, abscess and pyre which may take a group.

thats kinda wierd. tried camping miasma got bored waiting for the spawn so I went and killed flurry again. No miasma. went and killed pyre then miasma was back.
I kill every spider in the weald. And maybe sabrix has respawned after i re-kill her i run around for a while farming paragons and supreme's dreads and giant black widdows waiting for respawns.

maybe I am too fast yeah?



Hope the revamp is kicking along well

Rend and abcess are a challenge solo specially for melee. But they can be door wacked easily. how ever Pyre is a boreing road hazard.

How about changing arty chances until player base goes up so those of us here can get something out of playing. Because I play for 8 hours in the weald labrinth and painted caves and get no arties most days. thats with 1000 luck on my suit. And perhaps finding some waay to bump Supreme's so they are worth the trouble. Or trippleing the rate they spawn at so there is more of them and more chance at talli's and phat loot. just an idea so we dont get so hard up waiting for the revamp

Spawn times on all monsters seem to be ridiculously long, and they always have been. Often I'll see the monster I just killed, both regular mobs and ML mini-bosses, respawn almost immediately after the first kill, but after that it seems to always be upwards of 5 minutes between respawns, sometimes up to 10 minutes.

Of course, there are always other monsters to go kill while you wait, but it gets irritating when you are really just wanting to camp one single beast, trying to pop a supreme or paragon, or both.

Just so that there's no confusion, I was referring to the way it SHOULD be and not the way it currently is.

If you guys are looking for good "normal" loot use the gauntlet, i have found insane pieces there not to mention the chance for a gaunt arty.

Barely any of the ML arties are worth a hind's ass anywayz IMO.
